Is that fat getting extremely annoying? Are you tired of looking at magazines
and pictures of celebrities and envying their ‘perfect’ bodies and figures in bikinis? It is rather depressing isn’t it? Embarrassing too! That’s when people usually decide on getting a liposuction surgery. If you are one of these people and you have decided to have the cosmetic surgery done then there are things that are extremely important for you to know. It’s important to be aware of the risks that you are taking before procedure so that you would not be in shock if something happens.
With laser liposuction, burning fat cells has become much easier and more convenient. In the past, liposuction surgeries were not as they are now. They had to use a cannula to stick into your skin and suck out all the fat. That’s pretty painful if you are experiencing it when you are awake. Fortunately, with laser liposuction you don’t have to go through any of that. They lasers just burn your fat cells automatically and the areas that are unnecessary in your body and you’re done.
There are cons to it just like everything else though. Know that if you are ready to go through this there are several risks you are taking. None of them are for sure though, you might wake up just fine. But you could possibly wake up with lots of bruises and scars. It depends on the areas where you want the fat to be removed from. It also depends on how much fat you want them to remove.
Another great risk that is possible to happen is that you will have very loose skin especially if you have a lot of fat that is going to be burned because your skin will take time to adjust to it and become normal again. It probably won’t even become the way you want it. You might actually have to have your skin tightened or lifted.
You might also risk bleeding. This is not most likely to happen if you choose a laser liposuction instead of a standard liposuction but it is only natural to expect bleeding after any cosmetic procedure. If you experience this and it does not go away after a while then you should go back to the same surgeon. Do not panic or worry though, it is normal for this to happen even if it rarely does.
Infection is another risk you are taking. It happens sometimes with the laser liposuction because the laser has to be stuck under your skin in order to burn the stubborn fat, in this matter, the better the hospital and the cleaner, the less chance for you to get infected.
Accidents can also occur during the surgery. Your skin could get burned if the laser get in touch with it. This should not happen if you chose a hospital with professional surgeons and doctors but there is no stopping an accident from happening. If the laser does get in touch with your skin for too long you will be left with a nasty permanent scar all your life. Though you shouldn’t worry that much about it because usually they are small scars.
The worst thing that could ever happen to is if you go to a hospital and have an inexperienced doctor who is not in the position of doing the procedure give you the surgery. Most people would say “and how many times does that happen?”…well, believe it or not, it does. There are many doctors out there who are dying for a better job as a surgeon. A patient was once messed up completely during her laser liposuction procedure just because the doctor who preformed it was not a cosmetic surgeon, and therefore the poor patient was left with bruises, scars and many other disasters all over her body.
