Laser Liposuction – How Does It Work?

When you hear “laser liposuction” then you should know that what a person means by saying that is sculpting the body and removing the unwanted fat in it. It also means burning fat cells using lasers which is much easier than using a tube called the “cannula” which is used to ooz out the fat from the patient’s body.

Any kind of liposuction is usually used on the abdomen, hips, highs, necks, stomachs, love handles and arms. The greatest things about how laser liposuction works is that it reduces the amount of bruises, scars and pain. It also makes recovery a lot quicker and faster for the patient.

The cannula (or tube) goes inside about 1 or 2 mm of your skin to get the laser fiber into your skin. It is very less painful than the old way of having a liposuction surgery.

Due to the tube’s size, the procedure can now be performed under local anesthesia and is very safe with almost no side affects at all which is a great thing because you will not need days off of work. You could even return the next day with your new sculpted body.

When dealing with the face, the procedure is usually quickly done as there are many risks at hand. Firstly, you could easily get burned if the lasers come in contact for too long with your face. Secondly because there are usually small areas of fat cells on the face so it does not require much time to be burnt.

Not everyone who has fat areas on their body is candidate for smart liposuction. People who have fat that does not respond to diet and exercise are the only people candidate for this procedure. It is best not to have it too many times because your body will start looking awkward.

Laser Liposuction Recovery Time – How Long Will It Take?

Any kind of cosmetic surgery will make a patient tired and exhausted. When you decide to get any kind of surgery you should expect that you will be needing some days off and in bed. Though laser liposuction is a bit different then the other surgeries, since they are more advanced and convenient. You would not even have to spend the night at the hospital.

Recovery time depends on the procedure performed. If you had a lot of fat cells removed and burned then it is only natural that recovery time will take longer than it would for somebody else who had a small procedure.

It is often said that recovery will not take longer than a day. Some patients actually recover the next day and go to work normally. However, you should not depend on that information and time of recovery. It could take you a whole week for all you know.

After the procedure you will need at least 2-3 days of relaxation and off from work before you go  back to normal. Even if you are feeling okay it is still recommended that you take a break and relax, even if it is for a day.

Some people actually need a full week before they recover. It depends on many things including age, weight and size. That is why if you have a lot of stubborn fat that you want to be removed you should try to remove it yourself first by exercising and eating health to stay on the safe side and to make things easier for yourself.

After about a month or so of diet and excercise, you could go for the surgery, whatever is left of the fat will be removed without any difficulty nor time. your recovery time should be no longer than 1-2 days too.  Overall, laser liposuction is different than the liposuction cosmetic surgery where they have to use a cannula in many ways, including the time of recovery. If it takes a patient a week to recover from liposuctio, it will take a day to recover from easy laser liposuction.

Some Doctors Are Not In Position Of Performing Cosmetic Surgery – How To Choose

I have mentioned before in the previous post that the worst thing that could happen to you when having a laser liposuction is if a doctor is in not qualified for the job is doing it for you. You have to be extremely careful when it comes to something as big as this. A cosmetic surgery is no small step. It could change your life forever and if it is not done successfully it won’t change your life in a good way.

Choosing a surgeon is a step that must be taken deliberately and with much thought. You do not want to make the biggest mistake of your life. In order to choose a successful and good surgeon who is in the position of performing the cosmetic procedure you want there are many steps you need to follow first.

You must question the surgeon or doctor before anything is done. Ask him/her how experienced he/she is. The next question is even more important, ask the doctor to see photos of his/her surgical results . You should also get in touch with one of their patients and question them too. Just get an idea about the kind of doctor you are working with.

There are many surgeons out there with good reputations that you could work with. Though they would probably demand for higher prices than normal plastic surgery doctors worth. The price never matters as long as what you are paying for is worth it, and going through a cosmetic surgery successfully without any pain, scars or bruises is definitely worth it.

Some famous surgeons who are popular for their work you can even find online. Alexander J Covey is a perfect example of a successful surgeon whom you have a good chance to find online. Mitchell Chasin is also a successful doctor who is popular for his hard work. In fact, his entire staff of physicians are known for their successful hard work. Their results are always positive and patients couldn’t be happier when coming out of their hospitals.

There are also female doctors and physicians whom are just as successful and hard working such as Dr. Melanie Carreon who is obviously dedicated to her work. She is a very successful and experienced doctor who goes performs cosmetic surgeries without finding any difficulties or troubles like many inexperienced doctors do, and believe me, in these situations, experience really counts!

When you are ready to go for the procedure just make sure you do your homework first or be prepared for possible consiquences. It’s important that you gather up as much information as you can on your doctor. For all you know he could be a fraud, or an inexperienced surgeon.

What Risks Are You Taking By Getting A Laser Liposuction

Is that fat getting extremely annoying? Are you tired of looking at magazines and pictures of celebrities and envying their ‘perfect’ bodies and figures in bikinis? It is rather depressing isn’t it? Embarrassing too! That’s when people usually decide on getting a liposuction surgery. If you are one of these people and you have decided to have the cosmetic surgery done then there are things that are extremely important for you to know. It’s important to be aware of the risks that you are taking before procedure so that you would not be in shock if something happens.

With laser liposuction, burning fat cells has become much easier and more convenient.  In the past, liposuction surgeries were not as they are now. They had to use a cannula to stick into your skin and suck out all the fat. That’s pretty painful if you are experiencing it when you are awake. Fortunately, with laser liposuction you don’t have to go through any of that. They lasers just burn your fat cells automatically and the areas that are unnecessary in your body and you’re done.

There are cons to it just like everything else though. Know that if you are ready to go through this there are several risks you are taking. None of them are for sure though, you might wake up just fine. But you could possibly wake up with lots of bruises and scars. It depends on the areas where you want the fat to be removed from. It also depends on how much fat you want them to remove.

Another great risk that is possible to happen is that you will have very loose skin especially if you have a lot of fat that is going to be burned because your skin will take time to adjust to it and become normal again. It probably won’t even become the way you want it. You might actually have to have your skin tightened or lifted.

You might also risk bleeding. This is not most likely to happen if you choose a laser liposuction instead of a standard liposuction but it is only natural to expect bleeding after any cosmetic procedure. If you experience this and it does not go away after a while then you should go back to the same surgeon. Do not panic or worry though, it is normal for this to happen even if it rarely does.

Infection is another risk you are taking. It happens sometimes with the laser liposuction because the laser has to be stuck under your skin in order to burn the stubborn fat, in this matter, the better the hospital and the cleaner, the less chance for you to get infected.

Accidents can also occur during the surgery. Your skin could get burned if the laser get in touch with it. This should not happen if you chose a hospital with professional surgeons and doctors but there is no stopping an accident from happening. If the laser does get in touch with your skin for too long you will be left with a nasty permanent scar all your life. Though you shouldn’t worry that much about it because usually they are small scars.

The worst thing that could ever happen to is if you go to a hospital and have an inexperienced doctor who is not in the position of doing the procedure give you the surgery.  Most people would say “and how many times does that happen?”…well, believe it or not, it does. There are many doctors out there who are dying for a better job as a surgeon. A patient was once messed up completely during her laser liposuction procedure just because the doctor who preformed it was not a cosmetic surgeon, and therefore the poor patient was left with bruises, scars and many other disasters all over her body.
